VideoCleaner Version 5.8 New Features - Relative Scale in Matrix - Helpful Tips.

Hi, This Marc Robinson. Today I want to show you the new features found in VideoCleaner version 5.8. I have a video file loaded and I selected the frame I want to work with. To best illustrate the new features I have to apply a few settings so lets get started. First I 'm going to use the annotate feature and two keywords. And now I can display the videos current resolution. Next I want to enhance this image file. I have already selected the filters and settings so lets go ahead and turn on the apply tools settings. Next let's upscale the resolution of this image. I can double the resolution by setting the new resolution to seven hundred and four. I'm going to set the aspect to preserve. The method I'm going to use is cubic which is potion number two. Here you can see the new resolution is updated and displayed. You will also see in a few minutes why I am pointing this out. Okay now I need to define a region. I have already pre-selected the parameters and we can apply them by turning on the group and selecting rectangle. Next I'm going to turn Mask to the first setting which is position minus one. In this position all the enhancements applied are restricted inside the defined region. Now lets view this mage in the Matrix mode. Lets select side view for an original enhanced split screen. And now to Matrix view. In version 5.8 the Matrix view has been updated an now maintains relative scale of the original untouched image in the upper left quadrant.

I've loaded another image file into VideoCleaner and I have already defined a region this time using the oval setting. In version 5. there is anew feature called Inverse Mask. Let me show you that. Set this to minus two for Inverse Mask and lets go back up to the tools section. Negative Sharpening has also been improved in 5.8 so with the Inverse Mask activated lets apply some Negative Sharpening. With Inverse Mas activated everything outside the region is effected. This is helpful if you want to redact a large portion of the image.

If you're working with a file and feel you may need professional assistance please give me a call. I look forward to working with you. Again this i Marc Robinson. Thank you for your time and I'll speak to you soon.

VideoCleaner Version 5.6 New features - Branding and Text Annotation with Keywords.

Hi, this is Marc Robinson. I have a file loaded into the latest version of Video Cleaner, version 5.6, and I'm going to activate the text feature. In version 5.6 the text capabilities have been vastly improved. Lets take a look at what's new and how I added this logo and multiple lines of text into this video. To learn about this feature the Video Cleaner user's guide is the best place to start. I have the user's guide open to page seventeen which details the new text features. Here you can see you now have the ability to utilize keywords. There's a table of the available keywords and a description of the data each one will display. When working with keywords you have to type them in this format i.e., (#keyword). Let me show you some examples.

I want to display the videos file name and the folder in which the file is located. To do this I first press the F2 function key. Then use the keyword folder and the keyword file. Here you can see both the folder and the file name are displayed. You can also use text along with keywords. I typed the words "Project folder" in front of the keyword "folder" and the word "file" in front of the keyword "file". To force a line break I used the keyword "line". Let's take a look at it now. Here you can see the text was added as well as the line break which put the file name on a new line. Now I want to display the files resolution.  I added the keyword "line" for a new line break, the word "Resolution" and the two keywords "width" and "height" . I've also included an "x" between these two keywords. Let's have a look. The resolution of the video is now automatically displayed.

To add a logo to to the video you must use the "logo" keyword  as the first keyword. Also, to avoid any overlap of the text displaying on top of your logo you need to insert some spaces after the logo keyword as well as any line breaks. The keyword "user" will display any text written in the top field as you can see here. Let's have a look at this now.

The new text and logo feature s another great update to Video Cleaner and I'm sure I will be using it in regularly in future projects. If you're working with a file and feel you may need professional assistance please give me a call. Thank you for time and look forward to speaking with you.

VideoCleaner Version 5.5 New features video tutorial. - Dirt De-Noise and Data Bit Depth.

Hi, this is Marc Robinson. There are two new features in Video Cleaner 5.5.they are "Dirt De-noise" and "Data bit depth". The data bit depth filter is located under the program's "Curve" group. This slider gives you control over the tonal bit depth and allows you to posterize or reduce the amount of color tones available to represent the image. Let me show you what it does in this example. First I turn on the "Curves" group and then set the bit depth slider to six. The available tones have been reduced and the overall image has been improved. I now have a file open to demonstrate the new Dirt De-noise filter. I'm going to turn on the "tool" group. Set the equalizer strength to plus eight and set the Unsharpen mask strength to about twenty five. We can see more details now but there is a pattern of noise throughout the frame. The De-blur and De-noise filters have been combined into one slider. Position number three will activate the new Dirt De-noise filter. The noise pattern has been reduced. Let's look at another example. Here we have an extremely dark video. Let' s see what details we can obtain. First I'll turn on the "Tools" section and set the EQ strength to eight. I'm going to set the video contrast to about five. I am going to set the Unsharpen to twenty. I'm also going to shift the overall hue. Let's now turn on the new Dirt De-noise filter. This filter is very powerful so keep in mind it may soften some of the fine details in the video.

WI v. Theodore Edgecomb Trial Day 3 - Marc Robinson - Audio/Video Forensic Analyst

Theodore Edgecomb is on trial for the 2020 shooting death of prominent immigration attorney Jason Cleereman. Edgecomb was riding his bicycle in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, while Cleereman was in the passenger seat of his car. The men got into a verbal altercation, which ended with Edgecomb shooting and killing Mr. Cleereman. There are two very different accounts of what happened that night. The prosecution and Mr. Cleereman's widow, who was driving the car, claim that Edgecomb attacked and killed Mr. Cleereman, then fled the state to avoid arrest. Edgecomb and his supporters claim that he acted in self-defense after nearly being run off the road and threatened with racial slurs. In this video, Audio Video Expert Marc Robinson clarifies the video, testifies to the methodology, and has the enhanced video entered as evidence.
